The Doll Christmas Tag!! Plus Pictures of the Doll Space

Hello all! And Merry Christmas to those of you that celebrate it!
I was tagged by E from Just Dolling, oh, over a month ago, for a tag that Brooklyn from Jessica and Lea made. Thank you to E for tagging me, even if it’s taken me a while to get to it!
Okay, so here are the rules:

    Tag 1-5 people
    Have fun!
And now for the questions that actually make up the tag! I’m going to intersperse these with pictures of my dolls, because the dolls finally decorated the living room for Christmas yesterday. (Uh, yesterday as in the 17th of December, although I’m thinking I might post this closer to actual Christmas)
They decorated, not me. Apparently the theme was chaotic overload of decorations everywhere. Sophie says they didn’t have enough decorations though!
When do you usually start decorating your dollhouse for Christmas/winter?
Well, that is, I must say, a very good question! Some years, like this year, I do it halfway through December (if you want a throw-back, check out my second-ever post! It’s missing a couple of pictures that I can’t locate, but if you want to see how far we’ve come, go check it out, I guess). Sometimes, I don’t decorate it at all. Actually, yeah, looking through past posts, it’s either mid-December or not at all, so I guess I did do it in a timely manner this year!
Spot the hamsters!
Do you like to take pictures of your dolls indoors for the coziness or outdoor photos for the beautiful snow? Or do you do the same amount of both?
Hmm, I haven’t actually taken a ton of photos in the snow. I like doing it, but it does get cold and you have to be careful that no one gets really wet. So I definitely take more indoor pictures, but I like both!
Sophie: “I’m ready for Christmas at the farm! You’re taking me with you, right?” While I am going to my grandparents’ farm for Christmas, no, the dolls are not coming along . . .
Which do you like to watch more, the sizzling fire, or watching the snow fall?
Oh, that’s a hard one! I think snow, because there’s something just very magical about it, but honestly, sitting watching the fire in the evening with my family is also really really nice.
Victoria: “Look! Isn’t it beautiful? Glory to the dolls!!”
Do you have a favourite winter/Christmas photo you have taken?
This one!
It’s from the post ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas – Hedgehog Hollow Style, which I still think is really cool and you should check it out!
Who do you think, out of your whole doll family likes winter the best?
Oh, that’s a very very hard question. Nicole, in my mind, is the most winter-y, perhaps because of her icy blue eyes and light hair (plus the fact that her cheeks are always rosy like she’s been playing outside!), but I don’t know that she would have Toria beat in terms of love of winter. Victoria absolutely loves playing outside in winter and is such a big fan of snow. But then Sophie also really likes all of that, plus the cosy indoors activities of winter. So, I really don’t know. Other seasons, I could probably decide, but somehow, winter belongs to all of them.
Nicole: “I think I accidentally wore American colours . . . FP88, what do I do??” Ah, never fear, Nicole, instead just pretend you’re French or Russian or . . .
Which do you like more, hot chocolate or apple cider?
My first response was hot chocolate, but honestly, I don’t know! Cold apple cider just hits the spot at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, but hot chocolate is perfect for after outdoor fun.
These stupid lights won’t do anything but flash, and I hate flashing lights, but hey, I got a nice-ish picture!
What do you do more of, making snowmen or snow forts?
Now, probably snowmen because they’re quick and easy, but in the past, definitely more snow forts.
What is your favourite gift you have received for Christmas?
Oh boy! What’s with all these hard questions?? XD Um, if we’re going doll related, which I think only includes 2 Christmases, either Nicole or the year my grandmother let my sisters and I pick out doll clothes from Maplelea (I don’t remember when I got Nicole, but I remember the doll clothes, and oh, that was an exciting Christmas!!).
Non-doll related, I really don’t know! It doesn’t help that my birthday is near Christmas and so I can’t always remember what I got when. I did get a large piece of dark blue wool fabric one year, and with it I made myself a really cool cloak! That’s definitely one of the coolest gifts!
Okay, so that wraps up my portion of the tag, and now, it’s on to you!
I am tagging:
FlamyFox13 from Peace in the Pines
Vivianne from Dollightful Friends
Viola from Viola Smiles
I don’t regularly follow a lot of other doll bloggers who haven’t already done this, but if you’re reading this and want to do it, at any point in the future or past (kidding, you can’t do that for logistical reasons!), go for it!!
For ease of use, here are the rules and questions again:

  1. I love the decorations, and Toria’s sweater!

Also, I’m hosting the Adventures Awards for doll blogs this year, and you may or may not have been nominated…but in order to send you your certificate, I need you to fill out my contact form. If you wouldn’t mind going over to my latest post and filling that out, that would be great!
