Brownie Badges – Part 2

Hello everyone!

So, for those of you who remember back near the beginning, in February of 2019, I posted about these super miniature old-program Brownie badges that I was embroidering. About a month ago (well, maybe more!) , I finally finished making all the badges I wanted to make. Below is a picture of the finished “collection”, I guess.

There are about 58 badges in total and each is, hmm, let’s see. . . definitely smaller than a dime? Yeah, that’s it.

Here are the ones I’ve made since last time. Some are better than others, but then again, some of the badges were a lot more complicated than others!

This is one of my favourites! I think the dog just looks so silly – I mean, he’s yellow, and look at where his collar is! And then there’s the nose! It’s the Pet Pals badge.

Oh, and the pictures of the badges are from the old program book (Brownies Can Do It!), and are close to the size of the real life badges, if that helps you know how small there are. They should be 1/3 size, because – dolls.

And this one’s called Wheels. I don’t know what they were thinking when they named some of them, but hey, sometimes you just gotta state the obvious! XD I’m quite pleased with how this one turned out considering the size.

Kinda blurry picture, but this is Exploring Space.

And, of course, everyone’s favourite, Girl Guide cookies! This badge is literally called Cookies, Yum! (With the exclamation mark!)

So, yeah, this is all of them. And if you still have any suggestions for how to do metal pins in super miniature . . .

I did make a ‘Circle emblem’ too, but I forgot to take a picture of it. I made the leprechaun one, because that’s what I was, even though my unit was too small for circles. In my first year, we started out with 5 Brownies and we still had just 6 by the end of the year. The next year, we went up to 7, which was a lot!
